yesterday, i had the fun task of making over a desk for one of my best friends. she and her husband had inherited this cute desk that had, unfortunately, seen better days. the finish was wearing off, and there were tons of dings and scratches in the surface. here is the before:

i painted it in a distressed greyish color, then did the drawers a charcoal with hand-painted white flowers. we picked out the cute red knobs, and ta-da! desk makeover. i will go back and grab a few photos once everything is nice and cured, and she can put a lamp, etc, on it, but i thought i would share the after shots with you guys for now.
also, a special shout-out goes to gracie, kfd designs' newest employee ;)
