hint, hint...

OK, I re-did my bedroom on Monday. The entire thing. I am waiting for some lamps to come in from CB2 that I ordered (they don't count as purchasing anything, because I had a gift certificate!) before I take photos and show you guys! I am really happy with the outcome. I did it in all white. (my bedroom at my old apartment was all-white too...) I think I mentioned before that I would love to have an all-white/neutral home..I don't know that I could ever totally do it, because I love color so much as well, but don't you think the calming affect it has is really nice? These photos (and many more) are really inspirational...I'm very happy with the outcome of my re-do, and can't wait to show you guys the results. I did lots of painting and came up with some fun ideas that I think are really great. I love the contrast of having a huge graphic statement like a uniform color scheme, paired with old items or woven or rough items to contrast is great. I'll show you what I mean in a couple of days...come on, CB2!!

in other news, business is slow right now, so if you need some artwork/paintwork done, please contact! My website will be launching soon, so stay tuned for that, too...

oh, and check the etsy for LOTS more jewelry, including great vintage-ey cocktail rings, and delicate necklaces...

  1. Gosh, I wish I wasn't so busy right now, or I'd have you down to come bestow your creative ideas on my house. I've gone for the neutrals everywhere deal, and I love how relaxing it is....... I just don't think it flows very well.... :( HELP!

  2. yeah, i know what you mean. i think you really, really, really have to stick to a solid color pallette or it just seems like you are throwing hand-me-downs together. also, i think careful editing is key! like, dont let a lot of stuff clutter up - it makes it seem more planned out. does that make sense? that picture of the white couch with the white floors and walls, and the armoire with the pillows and basket on top is a good example of what i mean. really simple.

tell me when you are ready for a little consultation, hehe. i've never done anything like that - it'd be fun!
