Fiddle Leaf Fig

I found a tall (probably about 6 feet tall) fiddle leaf fig at Home Depot recently and was so excited! I have been wanting a tall one. I know they can get pricey, and I have heard of other people paying around $250 for them, but this one was only $34. The only thing was getting it from HD to my house -- a challenge! Haha. Of course I could handle it, though. I had to put it in the front passengers side floorboard, and then put my passenger's seat back, and let the leaves go into the backseat. It was a little squished, but it worked out fine!

These trees bend so much to the light over time - it has straightened up to be closer to the sun. I think it will like living in our dining area. I had always pictured putting a tall FLF there, and so glad that I finally found one.

I bought a large terra cotta planter, and painted it white and replanted the tree in that.

  1. Kristen, I think you've mentioned this in another post but can you remind me where your wire dining room chairs are from? Love them! :)

    2. That's great, sounds like you know how to take care of them. I have read they are hard to keep alive. My house doesn't get enough light :( Your curtain fabric is perfect in there. Alison

  7. Oh I love it! Your dining room is beautifully decorated. Could you tell me where you got the hairpin-legged console table? I couldn't remember if you've mentioned it already.
