Creamy Walls

hi!

Sorry for the break I took, without mentioning it. I went on vacation with my family, and then have been busy since I got back. Such is life in the summer, I guess.

As I mentioned before, I am thinking of repainting the peach in my bedroom. I'm trying to remember if I was changing things around this much at the condo, and I think the answer is yes - I've always moved stuff around and painted and repainted! I think I'm just more hesitant now, because this house is bigger and so changes are harder to accomplish quickly! Anyway, I bought a sample tonight and I think I've picked a color. :) It's Valspar (from Lowe's) and it's "Dove White". Pretty sure it's their answer to White Dove by Benjamin Moore, because it's very similar.

I was thinking I would just paint it back to white, but I was hesitant about that, because of the white couch that's in there. After perusing my Pinterest page for a while, I had a great idea -- cream.

Check out my inspiration images:

I love the way it looks against the white trim here... I think it'll be really pretty in our bedroom, and hopefully only take one coat :)

I'll be painting either later today after work, or this weekend. Check my instagram (@kristenfdavisdesigns) for progress!

  1. So surprised, I thought you loved the peach?! I used BM's Natural Cream and love it. It reads grey in some rooms though, not a true cream, but light and fresh nonetheless. Happy painting!

  2. I would've never thought to do cream -- perfect! I love that you change stuff so often because I'm the same way - my husband thinks I'm crazy but when you have a creative brain, things don't stay the same for long! ;)

  3. I love the idea. Not as stark as pure white but just as fresh.

  4. Love it! I was personally never a fan of the peach. You made it work, but it wasn't one of my favorites. I'm pretty sure if I tried to do it it would look like bad 90's outdatedness ha.
