last week, i created and painted a stencil used for a baby nursery. the wall was painted this great turquoise color, and i did my stencil with lighter turquoise...
i made the stencil pattern based off of this great light fixture from ikea:
on wednesday of this week, i'll be blogging about painting for the "restyling 101" series, and i will show you guys a few tips about freehand painting (i did this pattern by creating a template, then i freehand in all of the actual paint), including the stencil that i made. if you get a chance, please check out jelena's post about distressing furniture today - it's a great one, with lots of insider tips 'n' tricks.
