blue moroccan stencil for a little girl's room.

this week, i painted my moroccan stencil on the walls of a sweet little 8-year-old, using a pretty blue color. i was working with a designer, and she selected the colors... i thought they were so pretty! the wall color was the softest watery blue, and the color i did the stencil in was the perfect complementary robin's egg blue. anyway, the room is totally empty (it's being redecorated now) but you can at least see my work!

this room was a jack-and-jill room, and the room on the other side of the bathroom is her's as well. this room will be her bedroom, and the other will be her study. we'll also be doing some decorative painting in the study - so hopefully i'll get some great pics for you guys of that as well!

(full disclaimer about this photo - i noticed a missing point on one of the prints [second from the right, at the bottom] when i was doing my final walk-though, so it was fixed before leaving. just wanted to throw that out there!)

  1. So stylish! I particularly like how you've repeated the color in the band around the tray ceiling. Janell

  4. This has always been one of my fave stencils of yours! I have a question... I am considering trying to do a stencil in one of my daughter's rooms, but I'm not sure how to measure out the placement. Do you have a post somewhere on how you measure out the placement of the pattern on the walls? Thanks!

  8. jen - it's really hard! haha...i would try to explain it, but seriously, i don't knwo if i could. i do vertical lines for the placement, then you have to do the math (based on each individual wall) from there...good luck!!!

cristi - so nice to meet you too! and congrats on the new home! can't wait to see the nursery, too. i love 50's ranches...my favorite style of house!
