table transformation.

last week, i transformed this table and chairs with just a little paint...

this table and chairs were just simple wood...

i just did a distressed black finish on the base and the chairs of the table, but it really changed the entire look of the set. it seems like it is more grounded in the space, not to mention a little more elegant and finished.

  2. I LOVE this. It's exactly what I want to do to our breakfast table & chairs. Yet the sentimental part of me doesn't want to sand out the places where my babies (who are now 7 & 9) banged their little baby forks on the table. Sigh. I'm not gonna - I'm going for this distressed look.

  3. Very cool effect, plus the wood looks so rich it's a shame sometimes to paitn over it.

  6. So elegant! Love those chairs so, so much! I plan to do the same thing only my chairs are not as awesome. I have never done something so grand. Can I ask what type and brand of paint you used? What was your process? Thanks so much!
