sooo, this week (as i already mentioned), i painted stripes on the ceiling of a client's future baby nursery. it turned out really nicely, and i was happy with the result! here is our example photo of jenna lyons' baby nursery (perfection, if you ask me):

and here is what i did in her nursery!
i painted the stripes on the ceiling, and i painted that dresser in "black horizon" (by benjamin moore) with tiny white stripes lining the drawers. she still has to get new hardware, and obviously the room is far from done, but when she has the room all decorated and complete, she said i can come back and get some more "after" shots. i can't wait to see how it looks in the end! her house is absolutely beautiful, and decorated PERFECTly. i loved it, and was in heaven all week, being surrounded by awesome design. :)
it was so weird how it almost made the ceiling looked like it was sloped - like a circus tent, when you stood at the end of the stripes..
and here is the dresser:

wow, that's great. a pretty amazing rendition of the inspiration room.
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful! Can't wait to see it when it's all pulled together, but great painting job! (of course, it's you!)
ReplyDeleteLove it! how much did your neck hurt after painting the ceiling? lol.
ReplyDeletethanks guys! yes, my neck hurt pretty badly, but somehow, it really didn't end up taking me that long. i had figured it would take way longer, and that i would make way more mistakes, but it panned out nicely!:)
ReplyDeleteStriped ceiling = brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWhat color yellow did you use?
ReplyDeleteThanks. xoxo
Who makes the crib bedding? Gorgeous nursery!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, this is a great idea! Would you mind letting me know what color and finish of paint you used for the stripes? Also, how wide did you paint the stripes? Thanks!
