i love just sticking photos and art here and there; taping them, tucking them, etc. it's funny how you feel like some of your "design" moves are better justified when you see famous designers pull the same tricks! i'm pretty sure my sassy-snobby interior design professors would've given two big thumbs down to something like this!
here are some photos of beloved "domino" interior designer rita konig's interiors, including her ever-present informal photo displays:

i like how she just simply taped these black and white photos onto the wall in a grid-like pattern. lose the formality, people!!!!!

i grew up in a house of photos. my mom always was a bit of a photographer growing up, so she always had photos everywhere. i just love captured moments in time - especially un-staged and un-planned photos. here is my mirror in our family room with photos tucked in. i have a photobooth photo of me and a friend from middle school, a few polaroids from college, an engagement photo of my grandparents (my favorite photo of all time, next to the one of jordan's little brother and my brother at our wedding), and my favorite photo of jordan and i from our wedding.
