more table-age for sale!

i painted this sweet little 60's (or 50's maybe?) table with a funky-fresh pattern. you likey?

my mom got this table for me, because she knew i'd like the shape and legs, but i just decided the regular wood stain color was a little drab for me (though it was in superb condition). i came across this pattern somewhere along the way, and with a desire to use this weird orange-red color with white stuck in my brain (no idea why, we'll thank baby jesus for it), i decided to combine all my ideas into one little project!

behold - my newest hand-painted table creation! i really love it. i kind of want to keep it for myself. i sold my last table (the mustard-colored one with the octopus on the side) within a few hours of posting it, so maybe i don't need to get attached to this guy.

i am asking 150.00 for it. it's in really great shape, and the entire pattern was painstakingly sketched and hand-painted by your's truly while watching michael jackson coverage. funny how stuff like that sticks in your head. a lot of times i associate jobs with the things i think about while i am painting. anyway, i digress.

the painting/pattern is not perfect, but if it were, you could've bought it at target or something. you can see lines of where i painted it on, and there were several layers painted on to achieve the bright color that you see here. i sanded, primed, painted and polyurethaned it to perfection.

i don't plan on painting this pattern again ('twas difficult!), so if you like, and are interested, please email me at kristen.fountain@gmail.com. buyer is responsible for shipping charges (should only be around 30.00 for UPS) or pick-up as well. it's very light!

as you can see, there is a small amount of damage to the wooden legs, but it is not very noticeable...after all, it was made in the 50's or 60's!
