last weekend, i gave my porch a little cheap-o make-over. i didn't want to completely re-do the whole thing with a whole bunch of new things (since we are renters), so i went to the ol' tried and true: spraypaint.
i know it's nothing fancy, but i just went with some colors that i already had, and bought some "avocado" colored spraypaint for the iron furniture. the old floral pillows are not a fabric i would pick out, but they are good quality, and, turns out, replacing outdoor furniture pillows is SUPER EXPENSIVE. wowza! had no idea. so i just bought two chocolate-colored outdoor pillows from home depot to matchy match the brown that i painted the small table and lanterns.
i just wanted everything to be a bit more cohesive. i also picked up some flowers from home depot (the ones in the front have already almost-died then come back to life at least 2 times this week. resilient little guys!) and cute little pots. you can't really tell in the photo, but the pot that is sitting on the table in front of the bench is the perfect pale robin's egg blue that is in the pillows on the furniture.
the whole make over cost about $60, for paint, pillows, flowers and flower pots.
it makes me happy.
