mirror to chalkboard

i have had this old mirror for a really long time...i got it in highschool, at a flea market in my hometown. i always liked how it was old and "distressed" looking, but i decided it was time for something new.
so, i removed the backing, and took out the mirror...
and painted it turquoise! after i took the mirror out, i realized that it was really gross, and there was a stain that wouldn't come off of, i decided to make it into a chalkboard with some left-over chalkboard paint i had. chalkboard paint is a genius invention, people. i want to have a chalkboard wall at my next abode.
and here she lives. someone even left us a message on it, which i was really happy about (i have been leaving the chalk beside it, just incase anyone gets inspired)!

  1. I just love it! Looks adorable! I need one of those chalkboard things.

  2. you do! with that paint, anything can be a chalkboard :)

  3. I wondered about that chalkboard paint! Now I know! I like!

  4. yeah! it's good stuff. when i was little, my dad had a daycare center, and i remember him painting an entire wall with the chalkboard paint - right when it came out. AMAZZZZingly fun.

  5. Ok, so thanks to this post I now love chalkboards. I love what you did to it. I want one now too! :)

  6. make one!! it's so easy &, you will have paint left over, so you can make loooots and loooots of chalkboards. it would actually be cute to do several with different sized frames (and colored...) and group them together. fun stuff!! :)

  7. Fajartoto very happy with your article... very interesting for me to read. Fajartoto will also always visit your website. Thank you for sharing this information with us.
