I used to have a black-and-white striped entry way like this myself...a little something I did at that cave of a home that I used to live in. One day I was bored, had some left over black paint, and decided to paint black stripes on top of my white walls in the "entryway" of the apartment (SO TINY)...it was really cute, and I loved it! (I wish I had a picture for you...sorry) I think entryways are wonderful little areas to express yourself, because you don't have to sit in that area and be distracted by it...you walk in, enjoy, and walk out.
