i spend a lot of time "making over" furniture for clients, stores, and to sell. here's a sampling of some of my work! if you are interested in commissioning a piece, i am always open to ideas and commissions! email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
these louis-style chairs were given a light distressed look to go with their new upholstery job
this table, which my client purchased from craigslist, as-is, was painted in a black paint. we removed the paint, and i gave it a "Farmhouse Table" look...
we were going for a lacquered look:
pedestal table - a wonderful contrast with the more modern chairs:
vintage island before:
harlequin dresser before:
silver leafed side table:
picture frame before/after!
i gave it more of a patina-ed copper look..
before of a coffee table:
"before" shot of some drab yardsale finds with great potential:
before shot of a simple entertainment center:
after - i painted it a green color, then did a '70's-esque floral design, hand-painted on the front.
***new!*** (still available - email me at email@example.com for purchasing/info! shipping available within U.S.) dresser - would be perfect for baby's nursery (changing table, etc!), child's room, fun statement dresser for a bedroom, a TV console, etc!
an old, dingy, black chair got a new look with the help of my brushes and some white paint:
desk, before (a friend had inherited this from her family - i reworked it to update it, since it was scratched all over, and the surface was i n really bad shape!):
from the sea coffee table:
dresser, commissioned by a client to replicate the look of jenna lyons' baby nursery dresser (was previously solid white with old hardware...client is purchasing new hardware, and i hope to have a photo of the finished product when that happens!):
pretty white lines drawn on top of charcoal colored paint! love the contrast and crispness:
the dresser in the room (i also painted the stripes on the ceiling, here):
sweet side table:
another sweet side table:
tv stand (client commission that was previously simple wood, but we took it to a whole new anthropologie-worthy level by painting it this beautiful blue-green!):
the before and after:
here is the console that also was painted to match the tv stand!
pieces of a clients' "old" furniture that had seen better days, but i simply painted it black, did a little rub-off technique, and voila! it's got a new look:
kids' table and chairs set. my client had inherited an old table and chairs set from family, and wanted it to match her daughter's new playroom. she gave me a pretty loose "alphabet" theme, and told me to stay with gender neutral colors, so i came up with this!
since there were only two chairs, i did "a" and "z" on them:
the tabletop! so fun...
accent table (design hand-painted by me):
another accent table:
i painted the design on, and did heavy distressing and antiquing on top of it!
hutch commission. client gave me a loose 'theme' with the bamboo, and asked me to find a piece that her family could use to put their shoes in when they walked in the door!:
another side table commission:
i love this crazy pattern i painted on it!
another corner shelf that was a client commission...it used to be solid, unfinished wood, and i made it happy!
desk chair, as inspired by a dwell studios pillow:
after (i made it look like old wood!)
