this is a nursery makeover that i did (all in one day!) on a budget:
the stripes really pack the punch for the whole room! we wanted a really graphic, and colorful space, that was modern and not too babyish.
i also made the elephant and giraffe silhouette paintings above the crib:
i painted the little rocker bright orange to give some "pop" to the room...i think it accomplished its task :)
airplane-themed nursery:
custom canvas i made for this nursery:
canvases painted for a client's nursery:

through the pretty chandelier:
canvases painted for a little boy's room:
canvases painted for a baby nursery:
in this case, my client had already painted the tree, but didn't like the way that it turned out. i simply went in and edited it and voila! what a cute tree for baby:
i also painted this decorative side table on the other side of the room. isn't this nursery precious?

"a is for alligator" painting on canvas that i did for baby graham's nursery:
vintage window, painted with colors and owl at the request of baby amelia's mom. the window now hangs above her crib as artwork!:
after!
a bar, painted a chic grey, then distressed:
a bar/china cabinet makeover:
detail shot:
antique buffet makeover:
this kitchen was covered in dated white (water damaged!) MDF cabinetry. i did a faux painting technique to bring it back to the 21st century (hah!) by giving it a look that replicates cherry wood for far less money than replacing an entire kitchen's worth of cabinets!
the other side of the kitchen:
before: white MDF cabinetry. i painted it to look like espresso-stained wood:
taken from wood to "country-beachhouse" look, with a pretty matte gray color, accentuated with a light gray glaze in the bevels:
table and chairs set before:
and, after:
kitchen table/chairs makeover:
boring and worn brown wood:
painted the bottoms a distressed black, and gave the top a new sheen. it's like new furniture!
this kitchen was beautiful, but it was lacking the personality that my client wanted it to have! by painting the outer cabinetry a pretty sage green color with lots of distressing and aging, and painting the island a black distressed finish, we gave it a country farmhouse feel.
don't you love this vintage-looking crystal hardware she chose?
the black island!
this butler's pantry went from boring wood, to a sweet, yellow antique finish!
a beautiful fireplace, antiqued with black paint:
a bar, antiqued with sage green:
a kitchen island, painted with a distressed olive tone:
kitchen cabinetry, antiqued with a cream and brown glaze:
this bathroom cabinetry was old, white MDF, and my client wanted something more "italian" styled, to match the rest of the newly-renovated bathroom:
this client wanted their bathroom sink cabinetry to match this pretty medicine cabinet she had bought previously:
sooo, i used a faux painting technique to match the old cabinetry to match her stand:
this built in cabinetry was all white, but i came up with a plan to make the chic city condo a bit more stylish by adding a chocolate brown backing, then a solid chocolate line to the bevels in the doors - much more stylish!
before kitchen:
after kitchen:
i painted this built-in and the fireplace mantle a creamy off-white, then heavily distressed it with glaze and antique lines. then, i topped it all off with a nice decorative design that i hand-painted in the center of the mantle!

painted bar - turquoise and brown:
cherry tree mural:
in the works
complete:
in this room, i used a flat enamel to basecoat the walls, and a high-gloss of the same soft grey to do the gourd pattern on the wall. the overall effect results in a wall-paper like look.

the snack bar: i painted the words to look like a neon sign!
yummy sundae :)
harlequin pattern on a watercloset wall:
simple glazework inside a dining room, and faux stone-brick painted on the arched doorway for an "italian" style room:
this powder room was painted an olive green, then i did a dark brown glaze on top of it. to finish it all off, i did a bronze/black swirl decorative pattern on the tops of the walls.
decorative swirls in a kitchen to mimic the ironwork in the chandelier:
i painted a white silhouette of a horse on a chic, downtown loft. such a cool idea!
decorative pattern hand-painted onto a wall to resemble the look of wallpaper:
before: this floral fireplace was not fitting in well with the university of georgia-themed office at my client's home:
after!
i painted a bulldog, the famous 'arches', the "G" and a UGA helmet to complement the rest of the room!
muuuuch better:
funky tree:
stripes in a bathroom:
"italian garden view" mural:
miscellaneous:
I painted this chandelier in distressed silver tones, to match the room better (the silver areas were previously gold!):
