Website!

Well, things are slowly coming together for my decorative painting business. These things take time, and as I've learned, there is a lot more to do for a baby business than one person can get done in a week! I have huge to-do lists filled with things like "File receipts," "Transfer paint leftovers into smaller containers," "clip samples from magazines"...but for now, those things sit on the back burner while I try to accomplish bigger goals like advertising and website/company identification.

I am commissioning a friend (Jason Travis at jtrav.net) that is a graphic designer to design my website and personal identification for advertising/web and I am oh-so-excited about it! I'm a really picky person when it comes to design, period, much less something that is going to represent my style and look for my personal design business. It's hard being an artist and wanting things to look a certain way, but knowing nothing about graphic design and having rely on someone else to bring your ideas/sketches to life on the web, but if I trust anyone for the job, it's this guy. He's a very talented graphic artist, and I recommend him to everyone needing some creative oomph in their computer life!

I can't wait for the "unveiling" of my site (I know you all are waiting on pins and needles as well)...

here are sketches I did and gave to Jtrav to work with....
